Strike Announcemenet

The Student Union has voted to go along with the National student body decision, and to be on strike starting Tuesday, April 10th.
An important decision that was also taken is the way the strike will be enforced (or more precisely not enforced). After many conflicts at the gates during the last strike, it has been agreed that the gates will not be closed and no activists will block them. However, there will be teams patrolling the campus making sure no class is taking place.

Dear Anonymous (BTW, why can't you just post your name?)
I am not sure why you are attacking me. FYI (and all the CS and Math grad student) I voted against this strike. But, we were only 4 to vote against and over 30 for it. Yes, there is a big majority for the coalition in the student union, so it's tough to change decisions. I do my best to vote for what's best for the grad. students.

One lase note, if you plan on posting other comments regarding political issues that are University related and not specifically to CS and Math grad students to this blog, I will erase them for they are not relevant here. I stress this point again. This blog is intended just for ideas and comments on issues that are related to CS and Math grad students. You are more then welcome to take part in the debate regarding general student affairs elsewhere.

Dear Anonymous,
Maybe instead of wasting precious words attacking our representative in the council, it will serve you better to put them in some abstract of some research paper!

Hi Sonny,
In an email sent by an organization named "Higher Education", it was mentioned that you avoided in the last voting regarding the strike.
I read your answer to Anonymous in which you said that you had voted against the strike.
Can you clarify your opinion (and all the CS and Math grad student) regarding the strike?
Best,
Amir

Hi Amir,
I abstained the first day of the strike (prior to Passover) and voted against it ever since we returned from the Passover break (except for once when they couldn't reach me by phone - the vote is done by phone every three days). Hope this clears this up.
