Students' strike Wed. Jan 3rd

As you may or may have not heard, the student union plans a strike tomorrow, Wed. Jan 3rd, and asks all students to not attend classes. This obviously affects us all. As students, each of us should consider if she\he thinks the cause is worthwhile and decide if to attend class or not based on his beliefs. To all of us that are also teaching assistants, the strike does not affect us and we are expected to give the lessons as usual. This has been confirmed by The Junior Faculty Association which should send an email shortly.

Suggestions

This post is a "stub" for you to reply and add your good suggestions for things to bring up in my first meeting with the heads of the schools.
Here are a couple I already got:

1. Have a Nespresso coffee machine (with capsules). I already asked for a price quote from the supplier, and if relevant, will post an update (thanks to Ricky Rosen for the idea).

2. There a lot of computer scrap and crap lying around the open-space (and I don't know what's the situation in the rest of the labs - but I assume it's better). If you have some parts (monitors, keyboards, mice, and some other stuff) that can be gotten ridden of, mark them, and I will try to organize with the system team to collect it all and move it to their storeroom.

Now it's you're turn - reply to this post with some more ideas.

Election final tally

A lot of people asked me for the final tally of votes, so here are the official numbers:
